Error Using Post2Blog in Wordpress 2.6
Sunday, August 3rd, 2008Usually I use the Post2Blog version 3.01 to post at my blog. I use this free software with good reason because it is easy for me to manage more than one blog in one simple window. But the problem occurred yesterday is about new wordpress 2.6. Yes, this new wordpress version has the problem with the XML RPC definition in file xmlrpc.php because at that newest version I can’t connect to my blog using Post2Blog. That was so terrify for me because in my mind there is big difficulty occur because of managing lots of blogs without using that simple software. I tried more and more, creating new user and re-type the password but the result is same because it can’t connect to my wordpress using Post2Blog. What should I do?
Based in my non understanding about complex programming in wordpress module (although I am graduated from information computer and technology institute) so I decided to replace the new version xmlrpc.php file with the old version file (I used the 2.5 version xmlrpc.php). Finally, It works, I can login again using my Post2Blog software. Thanks to my trial and error activity because without it I can find the solution. Until this posting written, I still searching is there any error because of replacing the new xmlrpc.php using the older version. Hope that there won’t be any error because I have been confused by many errors since last week.
